For the twelfth year, Royal Metal Fest will take place in the heart of Aarhus on the 5th - 6th of April 2019. Both days will be filled with lots of metal at the three venues Voxhall, Atlas, and Radar. The festival has already announced Suffocation, Taake, Tribulation, Asphyx, Vomitory, Incantation, Rotten Sound, God Dethroned, Defeated Sanity, Implore, Decline of the I, Skinned, URKRAFT, Impalers, Xenoblight, and World War 5. Together with Bersærk that will be playing on the warm-up day, Thursday the 4th of April at Radar.
Today four new names have been added to the lineup. Author & Punisher, Lingua Ignota, Darkrise, and Nordjevel.

A place between noise, black, drone and avant-garde is Lingua Ignota. Lingua Ignota is the Latin term for "unknown language". It fits very well on the single-wind band of the same name. Kristin Hayter has previously been subjected to domestic violence, and all the anger built up in her body emerges as a desperate outburst of anger, permeated by fragile destruction and dark fervor. Based on classical vocal work, there are both beautiful songs, but also deep growls in store. This is going to be exciting to experience!

Time for more Norwegian black metal! Nordjevel blasts with everything it can draw from theatrical evil, corpsepaint, and rivets! The relatively new shot in the Norwegian band counts prominent members with a past in, among others, Morbid Angel and Dark Funeral. They rose from the dead Norwegian soil in 2015, published a very praised debut album the following year, and just before RMF19 the sequel Necrogenesis is published. Nordjevel is music about old Norway, the darkness, and nature!

Tickets can otherwise be purchased for DKK 595 (incl. Fee). Tickets are purchased at https://fondenvoxhall.dk/koncerter/royal-metal-fest-2019/ There are also day tickets and these will be put up for sale soon!
