Beyond The Void is Iron Fires 9th album in their 20 years of existence.

Ever since their first album back in 2000 they've been known to deliver quality of albums, which course they still are. Lyrics from Martin Steene is as always very personal, which adds an extra dimension to the album.

When listening to “Beyond The Void”, it really feels and sounds as if they went back to their roots, however with a twist of something new. The combination of power, melodic, and old school heavy metal, is very well mixed on this album.
Without a doubt you can hear the decades of experience on this album, Kirk's diverse guitar play on each song combined with the solid drums from Gunnar and Steene's broad palette of vocals. It's simply a joy for the listener.

To name a few immediate favorite tracks on the album it would have be “Beyond The Void”, “Old Habits Die Hard”, “Judgement Day” & “The Devil's Path”, though I think all the songs grow on you for every new spin on the player.
Therefore mentioned tracks make me feel like I'm taking a trip down memory lane, but with a fresh breath of air.
Each track gives the impression of a short story told with passion, provided with an accompanying musical score.
To keep writing lyrics and composing songs with such a force is definitely admirable.

We give this album
Out of 6
