How much can music really do to make you feel fully alive? Answering that question is simple after listening to such an atmospheric masterpiece. This journey is described as a passage through the icy forests of Québec, where a pact with the Devil is made and a quest for lost heritage. Taking that to consideration, this new solo project by Moribond (Forteresse) takes his music to a different path towards the more atmospheric direction. "Chante, Ô Flamme de la Liberté" opens with a small intro and blasts what feels quite fast through its six-tracks while these massive soundscapes create an escaping world to self-exploration. 

Every song provides its own highlights that contribute to making this an absolute treasure. After a small intro, 'Ouverture' understands to give the listener a fundamental opening to the journey, directly into 'Sonne, le Glas Funèbre' where the album takes a blasting turn straight through the rest of the record. Parts like the symphonic marching launch of 'Avant que ne Meure la Gloire' is what makes this release apart from so much out there, this massive creation is what music is all about, to conceive something so real. 

Serment has managed to compose the most beautiful accomplishment this year so far. Going through each track separately the entire concept if fulfilled just as if I was reading a book, but this time in podcast form with all the emotions on top of me, like I rode that horse. As I am looking up the blue Scandinavian sky, I have become emotionally attached to this record entirely, feeling the wind in my hair by the strong symphonic elements that virtually takes me through the snowy forests.
