Metal To Go at Rolling Stone Weekender festival 2018
By our guest reporters Marianne & Mladen

In an interview with Velvet Volume, the young band from Aarhus, Denmark, had difficulties understanding how it was possible to play for a full house at Almbühne, Germany while there were so many other acts at three other stages at the same time. The three sisters Noa, Nataja, and Naomi did a fabulous concert with alternative rock that got people inside the room and participating. While hundreds of people waited outside to get in. To play in a band as sisters have benefits as a disadvantage.
We are more honest to each other and because we know each other's taste of music and personality, the process get easier making music. - Velvet Volume
The three sisters feel that festival people are more listening and wilder than venue shows, but then there are those shows that surprises like Rolling Stone Weekender 2018 where people go wild immediately and gets the music like "Fire" under there skin at once. This was one of the headliners for us at the festival for sure!

Lots of concerts on the first day at the festival, Friends of Gas, Kettcar and at the end The Flaming Lips which was one of a performance! Ballons, Capricorn, and funny outfits, you almost had to be there to understand the amusement. We can't remember the music but the show was remarkable.

Second day -  Sophia Kennedy, Dan Mangan with his missing voice, but anyway very touching.

And here again another great performer. Anna Calvi a singer-songwriter and guitarist, with something on her heart that has to get out. Her interaction with the audience was exceptional and very emotional. Her eyes got inside your soul and the message from her songs was not to be misunderstood. The way she played her guitar, it was easy to see her background as a violinist (University degree from 2003) both wild and melodic. She has been serval times in Denmark (Roskilde festival 2011) pitty that her last show in Vega, Copenhagen was canceled.

And for closing Rolling Stone Weekender 2018 in the best German way, there were Schlager music from Element of Crime.
