Voodus
The venue did not seem to have made any advertising on behalf of these Swedish black metallers Voodus... since a lot of attendees only knew about their participation when the time schedule was released on the event itself the same evening.
It was a great addition but not many made it to their show. The energy started out extensive however after two songs they faded out and we were not entertained beyond that point. Everything collapsed and sounded too similar, they stood like positioned stones throughout and it all became monotonous and far-reaching. They had a few exceptional numbers and if the light had been better one might as well have seen their interesting stage decorations on both the microphone stand and each member but it was all covered by their not wanting to be there attitude that ended it with not being their best performance when they finally made it to Denmark.
Voodus get 2.5/6
GosT
Tonight's dose of "weird" was provided by GosT. Seen as an odd choice by quite a few of the audience, this duo plays a dark mix of synthwave (Or Slasherwave, depending on who you ask) that would have been a perfect fit for a dark 80's action/crime movie.
Their music comes off as schizophrenic and oppressive, which might help explain why they got on-board this tour. Furthermore, there have always been elements of the black metal crowd who enjoys electronic music.
As for the performance from GosT, it was definitely on another level from Voodus, with the frontman proving himself mobile and energetic throughout the whole concert, with the mic-stand suffering multiple carryings-on his behalf. This proved to be quite the change in pace needed for what was to come, and looking back, GosT set a high benchmark for the other bands to match. While we at Metal-To-Go hold few attachments to synth-based music, we remain impressed by what we have witnessed and listened to.
GosT get 4/6
Gaahls WYRD
Changing up the setlist from what we have witnessed earlier this year by Gaahls WYRD, this performance was brought to another level compared to others this very night.

The rest of the band, especially the bassist Eld and Guitarist Lust Kilman showed much energy, frequently interacting with the audience and keeping their attention. Also, the set was well balanced between the new material inter-laden with older Trelldom and God Seed-material and Gorgoroth-hits like "Carving a Giant" showcasing the breadth of Gaahl's material through his 20+ years in the business. The only real complaint we have was the rather absent rhythm guitar in the sound mix, but we point no fingers at the band for this.
Gaahls WYRD get 5/6
Mayhem
Between us, we've attended quite a few concerts during our lifetime, and rarely do we get the dishonor of witnessing one of our favorite bands disappoint. Tonight was such an occurrence.
Mayhem took the stage looking and sounding more tired than ever with instrument complications within the very first minute, and having just released their 6th album "Daemon", dedicated the first half of their set to show off this album.

Finally, a wardrobe change, and some material we know and actually care about from De Mysteriis dom Sathanas, but by then they have lost our attention. Hellhammer scoots around and changes tempo as he pleases, Necrobutcher tries in vain to slow things down for the slower parts, Attila is dancing around in his own world and it all comes off as a band that stopped caring 10 years ago.
We do not comprehend how and why the order of the set had to fit into this rigid mess, but I would urge Mayhem to reconsider it and look at it from the audience's perspective. The audience was hemorrhaging members for the first half-hour, until Mayhem pulled out the classics, and enticed the remainders to stay.
Mayhem gets 2/6
