Doors have been opened, the content is much wider and Spanish Balmog has taken me by the throat, simply with a little over eighteen minutes of their own pure originality. Here we have a one-track EP that honestly is a true mix of everything they ever released until now, just with a brighter take from above.
The introduction is marked by a heavy doom-ish sound that lasts for a few minutes while the vocals prepare one for what is to come: their authentic black metal guitar riffs, fast drums and statement shouting vocals. We cross into what I can only describe as "part two", which starts with a pleasing intro that becomes almost atmospheric with a dark attitude. In continuation the soundscape becomes even darker, painting a picture as if I were standing at an altar filled with lit candles in a dark room which suddenly fades and became all white. This next part stands out differently, going back to their originally own sound that blasts all scales for how extreme metal should sound. The vocal becomes much cleaner after a few minutes, with an emphasis on drum play backed by one of the track's most haunting riffs, before ending when the English language is swapped out with Spanish.
I give this EP
